RWU sets up university in Vietnam
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

BRISTOL, R.I. - Roger Williams University has established a university in Vietnam -- the first of its kind by an American institution.

American Pacific University opens January 15th in Ho Chi Minh City.

It will be the first school established in Vietnam by an American university reports The Providence Journal.

It will open with an inaugural class of 500 students.

Roy Nirschel is the president of Roger Williams. He says the opening is a major development for the school -- one that will expand its global presence.

Students will take courses designed by professors at Roger Williams. And some of them will be given the opportunity to continue their education at the Roger Williams campus in Bristol.
