Lincoln junior varsity player dies during practice
(AP) -- A junior varsity baseball player at Lincoln High School has died during practice.
Michael Monteleone, a freshman, collapsed without warning yesterday. He was rushed to Landmark Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His family says they�re waiting for a report from the state medical examiner.
The 14-year-old played third base on Lincoln�s 2003 state champion Little League team. The team�s coach, Randy Hien, says he was, (quote) �an ideal kid.�
