Family seeks missing 100-pound pet
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

WEATHERFORD, Texas There's a 100-pound tortoise on the loose in Texas.

Members of a Weatherford family are worried about their missing pet, "Brutus."

Ann Mutschler believes someone stole the 16-year-old Sulcata (sul-KAY'-tuh) tortoise while the family did some Christmas shopping on Saturday.

She says Parker County Sheriff's Department investigators have dusted the home for fingerprints.

Mutschler described Brutus as having a yellow and brown pattern on his back. She told the Dallas Morning News that the creature looks: "real bumpy."
