New England Institute of Technology opens Automotive Technology center

PROVIDENCE, R.I. The New England Institute of Technology is hosting the grand opening of a new Center for Automotive Technology this morning.

The center is the largest degree-granting facility in New England dedicated exclusively to teaching automotive technology. The state-of-the-art center cost 10.5 million dollars to build.

Governor Carcieri, Lieutenant Governor Charles Fogarty and Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian will join school officials for the 10 am event in Warwick.
