State lawmakers trying to snuff out teen smoking
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

State lawmakers take a bold step trying to snuff out teen smoking. The Senate passed a bill increasing the maximum penalty for minors caught lighting up.

The penalty now stands at 5-dollars a pop but the new legislation would raise the penalty to a whopping 75-bucks- and includes performing 20 hours of community service.

Now the bill moves to the house for approval.
