Abuse response center to receive grant for building purchase
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- The Sexual Assault and Trauma Resource Center of Rhode Island is getting a nearly 300-thousand dollar federal grant to help children. The money is going to the center's Rhode Island Children's Advocacy Center.
The 298-thousand dollar grant comes from the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development and is designed to help the center purchase a building. The building will allow it to expand its services to children who have suffered abuse.
