Kennel Cough Shuts Down Dog Racing
LINCOLN, R.I. (AP) -- Dog racing at Lincoln Park is still suspended, as a large number of dogs there are still infected with kennel cough. Track officials say it's not clear when they'll be able to start racing again.
The track stopped races last Saturday when 30 of 80 dogs there came down with the sickness. Dogs at the track have been quarantined. No dogs are being let in, and dogs can't be removed until they're deemed healthy. Track spokesman Michael Trainor says racing won't start up again until next week at the earliest.
