Sorenstam gets big headlines at home

Stockholm, Sweden-AP -- In less than a week, golfer Annika Sorenstam has become one of the hottest celebrities in her native Sweden. Perhaps not since the days of tennis ace Bjorn Borg has a Swedish athlete generated more headlines.
Sorenstam didn't make the cut at the Colonial golf tournament in Texas today, but she's attracted worldwide attention as the first woman to play in a P-G-A Tour event in 58 years.
At home in Sweden, her father says she was terrific, and he's so proud of her. Prime Minister Goeran Persson (YOH'-rahn PEHR'-suhn) praises Sorenstam as a great athlete with "great game and courage."
