Three Convicts Who Escaped Prison Caught
(Bourne-AP) -- Three convicts who escaped from a New Hampshire prison Wednesday have been arrested in Massachusetts.
State Police Sergeant Ed Principe says all three were taken into custody at the Sandy Pond Campgrounds on the Plymouth-Wareham line Thursday afternoon.
Principe says authorities in Massachusetts received information from their counterparts in New Hampshire that the three may be in the area. The campground was put under surveillance around
noontime.
Philip Dick was arrested just before 3:30 p-m as he was leaving the campground. Kevin Gil and Christopher McNeil were taken into custody just after four p-m. Gil, of Boston, was serving 45 years to life for murder.
All three suspects were being transported to the Bourne State Police barracks.
Earlier Thursday, the man police think helped the three escape died in a Boston Hospital. Shane Laslie reportedly shot himself when they tried to enter his hotel room in Salem, New Hampshire this
morning.
