F-15 crashes in North Carolina, crew safe
Four Oaks, North Carolina-AP -- Both crew members have survived the crash of an Air Force fighter jet in North Carolina today. The Johnston County sheriff says both crew members ejected from the F-15 Strike Eagle. One crew member had leg and other injuries. Rescue workers are in touch with the other flier, but as of about 5:45 p-m Eastern time they hadn't joined up.
Sheriff Steve Bizzell says the fighter from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base went down in some woods and caught fire.
