Old Fashioned Fried Chicken

  • 2 lbs chicken
  • 3 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup shortening or vegetable oil

Soak chicken in buttermilk (in refrigerator) for 8 hours.

Mix all dry ingredients in a bag, add chicken and shake. Heat shortening or oil in frying pan. Cook until browned.
