Report says "Simpsons" voice actors in salary dispute

Los Angeles-AP -- It appears Homer and the rest of "The Simpsons" crew want more "D'oh!"

Variety is reporting the actors who provide the voices for the hit animated show have skipped some work while seeking more money.

The report says each cast member wants about 360-thousand dollars an episode -- which would amount to about eight (m) million dollars for the 2004-2005 season. They reportedly are paid about 125-thousand dollars per episode right now.

The dispute involves actors who voice the characters of Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa, Mr. Burns and others. The cast reportedly held up production of this season by missing two sessions where a script is read informally.

Variety reports efforts to reach a new deal have been under way for months.
