"Dry Cleaning Pad" & "Quick 10"
The cost of dry cleaning can get pretty pricey, but we found the Dry Cleaning Pad that supposedly erases dirt "like magic!" And another product called Quick 10 promises that stains and odors won't come back from your carpet and upholstery! Question is...Does it Work?
We asked Betty Delude to do something she would never normally do on purpose...pour grape juice onto her white carpet! Betty is trying Quick 10 a stain remover that even comes with a 100% money back guarantee.
Betty
"Ok, let's see"
The grape stain is getting lighter..but not good enough for Betty..
Betty
"I think with another application it will come out."
And at first it appears it did. In fact Betty gave it a perfect 12.
Betty
"Now see the rug is coming back to it's normal color!"
But after the rug began to dry, the Quick 10 quickly turned into a rating of 6 as the stain came back Now on to the Dry Cleaning Pad which claims to erase dirt like magic!
Betty
"Well, the first thing I would want to try it on would be clothing to save on dry cleaning bills."
The product says it cleans surfaces you cannot wash, upholstery, wallpaper, suede, light colored clothing, car interiors and ceiling tiles. Betty brings out her beautiful suede jacket.
Susan/Betty
"Do you know what that is?"
Betty
Food. More than likely food!
Well, Betty rubbed and rubbed and rubbed...and nothing.
Betty
"It's not coming out."
We even give it a try on my blouse, with fresh pineapple juice that stained the front. But still...no change. Look there's makeup! Still...nothing. No change. We even tried it on a lampshade, and upholstery...and the stains did not come out.
Betty
"So I wouldn't waste my money."
The Dry Cleaning Pad is supposed to contain an exclusive super soft grit-free powder, but we found it totally ineffective. So Betty gives the product a 1 out of 12.
As for the Quick 10 it did remove a few more stains like make up and dirt, but the tougher the stain, the less effective it was. She gives quick 10 a 6.
