Jelly Rollers
Move over loose locks! We found a product that will surely put a bounce in your step. Jelly Rollers promise to give you the newest, curliest styles that are beautiful to look at...we wanted to know. Does It Work? Lana's long locks are ready for a makeover.
Susan asks Lana:
"Are you ready?"
We brought Conairs Jelly Rollers to Kids Adventure Cuts in Woonsocket...where cutting kids hair is an adventure---the Jelly Rollers can be used on anyone, at any age, owners Lana and Paula decide they want to try them out.
Paula Demaire:
"I was reading it and it says to start at the end..."
It only takes a few minutes to heat up...the longer you wait, the better the curl or so the directions say.
Paula Demaire:
"It doesn't seem bad; it's just trying to get the ends in."
The ends just don't seem to want to cooperate...leaving what hair stylist call "fish tails at the bottom of the curl.
Paula Demaire:
"LetÔŅĹs see if we got a curl?"
After spending more than 15 minutes using the jelly rollers, LanaÔŅĹs hair isn't even nearly finished. But we are anxious to see the results.
Paula Demaire:
"Oh, it's not a bad curl"
Not bad, in fact, as Paula removes more and more Jelly Rollers, the curls do seem rather bouncy! But the problem is, she's got a whole lot of hair left, and not a whole lot of time.
Paula Demaire:
"To do her entire head of hair; probably 2 hours! Do you have 2 hours? No! "
The Jelly Rollers did give LanaÔŅĹs hair some great curls, but to really get it to look like the pictures on the box...we'd still be at the salon. So the Jelly Rollers only gets a 7 out of 12.
