"Simoniz" Professional Wash and Wax System
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

It's like having your own professional car wash and wax system at home. Sounds good anyway. But can this Simoniz Professional Detailers Brushless System really make your car sparkle? Or is it all washed up?

Kevin Coogan knows what it takes to get your car looking like new. With his mobile car wash he makes our fleet of trucks sparkle and shine! But today, we've asked Kevin to park his truck and try out this latest product from Simoniz, the professional wash and wax system.

Kevin

 "I've tried different things...I don't know."

A skeptic no doubt..but after navigating thru the instructions, Kevin is ready to turn it on!  We found a very dirty truck in major need of a bath.

Right off the bat, we've got problems. The "system" seems to be leaking from every possible spot!

Kevin

"If I bought it I'd take it back!"

Well we bought it for $14.99 money, it seems, not well spent.

Kevin

 "Oh, it's got good pressure."

That's about all it's got because as soon as you attach the cloth, we've got more problems. Not only doesn't the circular cloth stay on, it leaves scratch marks!

Kevin

"Sand gets underneath it, it ends up twirling and scaping."

And the list of problems go on. So now you have to disconnect the soap to rinse it, change the head again,  way too many steps to clean a car!  But if it actually did clean a car it may be worth it.  So, we give up. Time now to leave the cleaning to the professional.

Susan

"So my car will remain dirty until you clean it?

Kevin

"Right!"

This product was pretty disappointing because it looked like it had so many possibilities. The only good thing was the pressure, but you could get that from any good nozzle, without the added hassles. So Kevin rates the Simoniz Professional Wash and Wax System a 1 out of 12...ouch.
