Former White House counterterror official assesses LNG threat
PROVIDENCE, R.I. Richard Clarke, the former White House counterterrorism official, is in Rhode Island today to help assess the threat by liquefied natural gas terminals in Providence and Fall River, Massachusetts. Clarke is scheduled to take a helicopter ride over Narragansett Bay. He's been retained by Rhode Island Attorney General Patrick Lynch to analysis the possible threat caused by LNG terminals, and by tankers that would transport the frozen fuel through Narragansett Bay.
Clarke is expected to address the media at 4:30 pm in Warwick, after his tour.
