Johnston Ridge Observatory opens after six months
VANCOUVER, Wash. The view isn't that good right now, but visitors are again getting a look at Mount St. Helens from a nearby post. The Johnston Ridge Observatory has reopened to the public, after closing six months ago when the volacano began its dome-building eruption.
The view for the visitors was obscured by clouds, which may clear in a few days.
Visitors are being told to a bring a dust mask in case more ash spews out of the volcano, which has been relatively quiet.
