PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- A Providence man has been arrested in the slayings of his estranged wife and another man.

Forty-eight-year-old Roberto Diaz is being charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Barbara Reigosa and Dirmas Rodezno.

Police discovered the victims yesterday morning inside ReigosaÔŅĹs apartment after receiving a 9-1-1 call. Detectives described the murder weapons as a handgun and kitchen knife.

Police said Reigosa was DiazÔŅĹs estranged common-law wife. Diaz had lived with Reigosa in the apartment where the crime occurred until about two weeks ago.

Police took Diaz into custody at the scene after noticing blood on his hands and clothes.

There were no previous reports of domestic violence from the address. Diaz is scheduled to be arraigned today and again on Monday.
