Gas Prices are on the Decline
PROVIDENCE (AP) -- Gas prices continue their fall from all-time highs. According to Triple A of Southern New England, the price of gas in Rhode Island fell last week for the seventh week in a row.
The average price of a gallon of self-serve, regular, unleaded was down two cents, to one dollar, 95 cents. A survey by the State Energy Office found the same average price. A year ago at this time, the same gallon of gas cost an average of a dollar, 57 cents.
Prices have come down from the record high of two dollars, 13 cents found eight weeks ago.
