Woonsocket youth charged with firing paintball gun
WOONSOCKET, R.I. (AP) -- A Woonsocket teenager is in trouble with the law after being accused in a drive-by paintball shooting.
A police officer heard a shot last Thursday and turned around in time to see a weapon being pulled back into a vehicle on Mason Street. The officer pulled the car over, and found a paintball gun there.
Officers also found orange paintballs, carbon dioxide cartridges, a packet of rolling papers, and about 40 dollars of marijuana.
The driver was let go. The teenager was released to his parents.
