State releases unclaimed property list
PROVIDENCE, R.I. The state of Rhode Island has released its list of unclaimed property for 2005. General treasurer Paul Tavares said more than 30-thousand people have abandoned a total of 10 million dollars this year.
Bank accounts, stocks and safe deposit boxes are just a few of the examples of unclaimed property.
To search the unclaimed property database, visit the Office of the General Treasurer's Web site.
Lists of unclaimed property will also be inserted in newspapers.
