Florida agency says no abuse in Terri Schiavo case
TAMPA, Fla. Florida's Department of Children and Families says there's no evidence Terri Schiavo was abused. The agency investigated 89 complaints that appeared on its hotline since the legal battle over her feeding tube intensified four years ago. The results were released Friday under court order.
The agency says it found no evidence Michael Schiavo or the woman's parents abused of exploited her. The hotline calls said both sides were using her for financial gain.
In fact, the documents show investigators often noted in their records that they found Schiavo well cared for when they visited her hospice in Pinellas Park, Florida.
Terri Schiavo died March 31st almost two weeks after her feeding tube was removed for the third time.
