Father charged with striking daughter

NASHVILLE, Tenn. A Tennessee man who was supposed to be featured on the reality T-V show "Wife Swap" is now facing criminal charges after allegedly striking his 13 year-old daughter in the face.

Members of the show's production crew questioned the girl about injuries to her nose and cheek on Tuesday. They took her to the hospital after she allegedly told them that her father had hit her several times for not wearing a coat.

Tennessee Department of Children's Services officials took custody of the girl and her nine year-old brother until their mother could return from California, where she was filming a segment for the show.

A-B-C says production involving the Nashville family was shut down. The premise of the show has wives trading households to experience different living situations.
