Anthrax-tainted post office to reopen today in New Jersey
HAMILTON, N.J. The New Jersey post office that was closed more than three years ago during the anthrax scare reopens today. The Hamilton facility has been decontaminated and now has sensors to detect anthrax.
All the old equipment has been replaced as part of the renovation, which cost between 80 and 100 (m) million dollars.
Most of the 500 workers will be returning to the building -- save four who were sickened at the time.
No one has been charged in the October, 2001 attacks that killed five and sickened 17 across the country.
