Brown writes to Canadian pharmacies about new R.I. law
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

PROVIDENCE, R.I. Secretary of State Matt Brown has written to a clearinghouse for Canadian pharmacies informing it of Rhode Island's new licensing law that allows residents to order prescriptions through the mail.

Brown told Cana-R-x that Rhode Island will begin licensing Canadian pharmacies on January 19th.

He wants Cana-R-x's member pharmacies to apply for a license to do business in Rhode Island.

The goal of the new law is to make it easier for seniors and others to get cheaper prescription drugs through Canada.
