Neighborhood policing meetings start in Providence
And the people of Providence are getting a chance to meet the men and women who will be patroling their streets. Eyewitness News went to the first meeting in the Mt. Pleasant section of the city Tuesday night.
It's all part of the police department re-organization plan to get community policing into neighborhoods.
The city will be broken up into nine districts, all with several officers assigned to the areas.
