Hillary Clinton describes president's confession of Lewinsky affair
Washington-AP -- In her new book, former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton dramatically describes the moment her husband admitted to her that he'd had an affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. She says President Clinton lied to her about the relationship until the weekend before he testified before a grand jury in August 1998.
The New York senator vividly describes her pain in "Living History," her new memoir covering her eight years in the White House. A copy of the book was obtained by The Associated Press.
Senator Clinton says when her husband told her about the affair, she "could hardly breathe." She says she started "crying and yelling at him," and that he kept saying over and over again, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
Hillary Clinton says the most difficult decisions of her life were to stay married and to run for the Senate.
