State Police Inspector To Permanently Run Providence's Communications Department
(Providence-AP) -- A former state police inspector has been named the new director of the Providence Communications Department.
William Trinque began serving as acting director in February, on loan from the state police. He came in to supervise the communications department after a review of it showed mismanagement
and leadership problems.
Mayor David Cicilline says Trinque made major improvements in the department in while serving as acting director. The mayor says he's pleased Trinque has agreed to stay on.
Trinque was with the state police for 24 years, most recently overseeing its inspectional services unit.
