 (Providence-AP) -- A Cumberland man has been sentenced to serve 50 years for sexual assault and burglary charges.
   Forty-two-year-old Kelvin Witherspoon pleaded no contest yesterday to charges including one count of burglary, five counts of first-degree sexual assault, and one count of assault with a
dangerous weapon.
   He was sentenced to serve 50 years at the Adult Correctional Institutes, with ten additional years suspended with probation.
   Prosecutors say if the case had gone to trial, they planned to present evidence that Witherspoon broke into a home in Pawtucket and sexually assaulted a woman at knifepoint. They say he then fled in her car.
