PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Gas prices have hit a record high in Rhode Island. Triple-A says prices shot up six cents last week -- to an average of two dollars and 16 cents for a gallon of regular gas. That's 39 cents more than at the same time last year. The price breaks a record set last June of two dollars and 13 cents a gallon. The state Energy Office's survey found an average price of two-dollars and 17 cents a gallon.
