"Odor" prompts recall of turkeys sold at Shaw's
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

(St. Pauls, N.C.-AP, Mar. 25, 2005 4:15 PM) _ A North Carolina company is recalling fresh turkeys supplied to Shaw's and Star Markets.

Prestage Foods says they've received reports that some of their 10-to-14 pound turkeys with sell dates of March 28th, 29th, 30th, April first and second, have developed an odor.

The company says the turkeys don't pose a health risk, but may not meet their quality requirements.

Consumers can return the turkeys for a full refund or replacement.
