Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

GREENWICH, Conn. Two men are under arrest in Greenwich, Connecticut, charged with robbing a jewelry store and chucking diamonds onto Interstate 95 during a police chase.

Police say the gunmen made off with nearly two (m) million dollars worth of jewelry yesterday morning after handcuffing employees inside the store. One of the employees managed to phone police, who spotted the getaway S-U-V and chased it for 20 miles to New York.

As they fled, the men hurled diamond rings, pearl necklaces and designer watches onto the highway. Police shut it down for nearly an hour, while they looked for the loot.

The New York Post says they think they found it all.
