Carbon monoxide leak sends swimmers to hospital
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

ROYAL OAK, Mich. More than 50 people have been taken to a Michigan hospital after high levels of carbon monoxide were detected at a high school pool during swim lessons.

Police say many of the 55 children and adults had to be laid on a sidewalk outside Dondero High School in Royal Oak.

Those being treated are listed in good condition.

Authorities believe the carbon monoxide came from a malfunctioning furnace.
