Widow of top Enron exec challenges husband's portrayal in documentary
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

HOUSTON The widow of a former Enron Corporation executive is challenging how a documentary is portraying her husband's death.

The film "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room," was screened for former employees of the company yesterday in Houston.

The movie opens with a dramatization of Cliff Baxter's 2002 suicide -- after the company fell apart. Later, a reporter from Fortune Magazine said Baxter was a manic-depressive.

But his wife says he was never diagnosed with that illness.

She confronted the reporter and the film's director after the screening. They told her that officials had said her husband had extreme mood swings, but she replied that's, "no reason to state a lie."
