Report: Al-Qaida has considered boats and copters in New York attacks
WASHINGTON Speed boats, divers, even helicopters. U-S law enforcement officials quoted by Time Magazine say al-Qaida operatives have thought of using all those things to carry out attacks in New York before the November election.
The details were gleaned from three laptop computers and 51 discs seized in Pakistan last month.
A senior Pakistani al-Qaida operative who formerly ran one of the terror group's training camps in Afghanistan has been arrested in the United Arab Emirates. He's been handed over to Pakistani officials.
