Two planes searched after reported threat
(Philadelphia-AP) -- The F-B-I is investigating a telephone threat that led to searches this morning of two planes operated by American Airlines -- one in Philadelphia and the other in Boston.
The call was placed to a Philadelphia hotel, warning of possible explosives on an American Eagle flight from Philadelphia to Logan Airport and on an American Airlines flight from Logan Airport to London's Heathrow Airport.
Both planes were searched, but authorities say nothing was found. The Philadelphia-to-Boston flight was canceled, but the Boston-to-London flight was allowed to take-off after the search.
A spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration says officials checked a list of passengers for any suspicious persons.
