You might have noticed the signal of WPRI 12 is not as good as was just last week. The reason behind this is we are operating at low power while we install a new antenna on our main transmitter tower. Due to the high winds over the weekend, and Tuesday's rain have delayed the installation of the new antenna.
Once the new antenna is complete you should notice a much stronger and clearer signal from WPRI 12. Also, we will begin broadcasting from our new analog transmitter which will do even more to improve the signal of WPRI 12.
The new antenna will allow WPRI 12 to maxmize the power to our DT singal going from 14 kilowatts to 18 kilowatts.
The antenna work should hopefully be completed by this Saturday.
