Dog Track Wants to Add Nightclub
(Lincoln-AP) -- Management at the Lincoln Park dog track will ask the Lincoln Town Council to allow it to add a nightclub at the center. The club would be called the "Kobalt Room." Track officials hope to open the club on Thursday.
Lincoln Park spokesman Michael Trainor says that the company needs to offer its patrons more things to do.
Lincoln Park has been scarred by bad news. In September, two executives associated with the operation were indicted on federal charges of conspiring to offer a bribe in exchange for lobbying help to get more video slots at the track.
Since then, the company has entertained purchase offers. M-G-M offered nearly 500 (m) million dollars in January.
