(Providence-AP) -- The Providence Journal has identified another 15 survivors of The Station nightclub fire, raising to 427 its estimate of the number of people inside the club when the fire broke out.

The new figure is higher than the 404 occupancy limit set by West Warwick fire inspectors. ItÔŅĹs also up from the number published last week by the newspaper.

The Journal says after the results of its capacity investigation were published, it received phone calls and e-mails offering more leads.

Reporters were able to confirm 15 more survivors.

One hundred people died in the blaze and another nearly 200 were treated for injuries at area hospitals.

The Journal identified others who said they were inside the club during the fire through interviews and legal documents.

An attorney for one of the nightclub owners says the crowd never reached 400.

The attorney generalÔŅĹs office wonÔŅĹt comment on the newspaperÔŅĹs count.
