Injured linebacker says he will be back next season
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

(Foxboro-AP) -- Patriots linebacker Rosevelt Colvin expects to play next year after being sidelined for this season after hip surgery.

IN a conference call with reportrs today, Colvin said: Im just going to keep on trucking and do the things I need to do.

His agent, Kennard McGuire, said Colvin had a fracture and there was no problem with blood flow to the area. McGuire also said that the hip did not come out of its socket, which could have caused more problems.

Colvin was hurt in the Patriots second game of the season when he recovered a fumble against Philadelphia. He said he felt discomfort as he reached down for the ball but doesnt know exactly how he was hurt.

Colvin had surgery last Friday at Massachusetts General Hospital and is out for the rest of the 2003 season.
