Lawyer Milloy disputed a report of tampering

(Orchard Park, New York-AP) -- Safety Lawyer Milloy disputed a report that said he was negotiating with other N-F-L teams before New England released him.

Milloy made his Buffalo Bills debut in a 31-to-nothing victory over New England yesterday.

On Saturday, S-I-dot-com quoted Milloy as saying that Washington made him an offer before the Patriots released him for salary cap reasons Tuesday _ a report the Redskins also denied.

Milloy said his agent, Carl Poston, called some teams to see who would want Milloy before he was cut. He said the Redskins gave a bigger offer than the Patriots.

That would be a violation of the N-F-LÔŅĹs tampering rules.

Redskins spokesman Karl Swanson called the report "absurd."

Milloy, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, signed a four-yearcontract with Buffalo worth 15 (m) million dollars.
