Toy Test
Our three year-olds seeemed uninterested in the "Chicken Dance Elmo" and "Cabbage Patch Kids" we had for them to play with. These two boys went right for the "Bionicles," buildable action figures. These are marketed for 7-10 year-olds, but these young boys couldn't be torn away. As for the five to seven year-olds in our group...all the toys were a hit for them. "Pop Sensation Barbie Doll," and "What's her Face" activity doll were tops with the girls. Both boys and girls (of all ages) really liked the teachable "Micro Pets." The "Spider-Man Deluxe Web Blaster" is a messy toy that shoots silly string. It was also a hit that broke the gender and age barriers in our group. A tip for parents: keep this one outside. There were other toys on our list we didn't have time to test, but here it is for your shopping pleasure!
