Hear the excerpts of police transmissions on night of Station fire
This morning, hundreds are finding out what happened at the scene of the club fire tragedy.
As chilling audio tapes, recorded the night of February 20th are released.
Attorney General Patrick Lynch is also shedding light on when criminal charges could be filed.
Excerpts from police department transmissions following the Feb. 20 fire that killed 100 people at The Station nightclub inWest Warwick, R.I.
Most of the rescue workers on the recordings do not identify themselves by name.
� �We have multiple people trapped. We�re just dragging them out, one by one.�
� �We�ve got some injured all over Kulas Road wandering around.We need some help up here.�
� �Let�s get all the injured escorted away from the building, all officers, OK? The rescues (rescue vehicles) are coming in. Let�s get everybody else back. ... Let�s get everybody back across Cowesett (Avenue).�
� �Headquarters to C-11. Do you need additional nurses up there?� Response: �We�re going to be transporting multiple people to the hospital. They�ll be needed at the hospital.�
� �(Inaudible) wants you to call the ME�s (medical examiner�s) office and advise them that we have a mass casualty incident here. They�re going to have to institute some kind of a plan to get down here.�
� �We need you to call the Red Cross. We�ve got a major incident here. We may have as many as 25 casualties here. ... Why don�t you give them a call and let them know what we�ve got and see if they can mobilize something.�
� �We are fully engulfed, fully engulfed building. We have people on fire inside.�
� �All our guys are OK. It seems like all the firemen are OK. But they haven�t started moving the rubble yet.�
� �If anyone�s calling looking for victim information we�re in the Cowesett Inn and we�re taking names from people ... who they�re looking for or whatever, who was in the club.�
� �This is Attorney General Mike Stone. ... I�ve been watching the news. Obviously it looks like there might be some criminality here,� Stone said to a police captain.
