Newspaper quarantined after suspicious white powder found
MIDLAND, Mich. Experts are still testing some white powder found in a letter sent to a Michigan newspaper, but they say it apparently is not anthrax. The Midland Daily News reports that its editor, John Telfer, opened a letter Tuesday morning and discovered a substance with the texture of flower. Seven workers were taken to a hospital as a precaution and the rest were quarantined. No one appears to be sick and they are now going about their regular business.
Telfer says he thinks it may have been a "huge overreaction," But he says "This is the nature of the world in which we live."
