Two fires break out in South Kingstown
Fire crews in South Kingstown have been working overtime after two fires break out on either side of town.
They started within minutes of each other last night.
First, Eyewitness News was at a building fire on Liberty Lane, in the "West Kingston " region of South Kingstown. More than a dozen engines and ladder trucks headed to New England Wood Products before 10:30 last night. No word at this point what sparked the fire.
Eyewitness News was also on Indigo Point Road, also in South Kingstown, at the aftermath of a fire about half past nine. Neighbors tell us it was a million-dollar house under development that caught fire.
Fire crews had to create pools of water in the street to fight the flames because they had trouble getting water pressure from hydrants. Crews are still investigating.
There is no word of any injuries in either of these fires.
