Providence felon gets 10 years in prison for gun possession

PROVIDENCE, R.I. A federal judge has sentenced a Providence man to ten years in prison for illegally owning firearms.

In December, a jury found Lenard Gibson, a felon, guilty of illegally buying two guns at an East Providence gun shop.

US District Judge Mary Lisi imposed the maximum sentence on the 28 year old.
