Countertop Warranty
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

Kerry Beaudryďż˝s countertops lacked luster after an accidental spill.    She thought the company would put the shine back after all the counters were still under warranty, but when she called there was a catch that dulled the deal.

She couldn't wait for her new countertops!  She searched high and low for just the right product. She found exactly what she was looking for and paid $4000 for this rock hard deal that included a 10 year warranty.

Approximately 3 months ago, her husband accidentally spilled household bleach on it.

Kerry thought her warranty was tops.  She read all the fine print from top to bottom-called the installer, but that's when things went from bad to worse. They said just to come out it would be $275!  She rechecked her warranty thinking she must have missed the information about this fee.

When the installer wouldn't budge on the fee, Kerry Called 12 For Action and we called the installer and they agreed to check out Kerrys counters and they also agreed they wouldn't charge her a service fee. So they came, they saw, they even reenacted the bleach blunder and sure enough admitted Kerrys $4000 countertops were defective.

Great until they told Kerry even though they would replace her countertops at no charge, she would have to pay for the installation!  After we contacted the company again and reminded them of their own warranty, the installers were out in no time. Kerry got just what she says she deserved from the very beginning.

Kerry's story goes to show you that it's so important to really know what your warranty says, even in the fine print.   And hold a company to it, if they dispute your claim, you can always Call 12 for Action.
