Taking Another Look at Smoking Ban Enforcement
Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

RI--Rhode Island is taking another look at smoking ban enforcement.

The Rhode Island Health Department says the various exemptions- including the number of employees at any given restaurant and type of food service-may need adjustment.

This is because businesses with ten or fewer employees do not have to enforce the ban for another 18 months.

The problem is thatthe Health Department has been counting members of the board and others who don't serve alcohol.
