Terror Caution
State Department issues worldwide caution for U-S travelers STATE DEPARTMENT (AP) _ The State Department is telling U-S travelers abroad to be on the lookout for anti-American violence, as well as possible terrorism.
The statement says U-S officials are "deeply concerned" about the continued terror threat against U-S citizens and interests overseas. The warning urges travelers to stay vigilant, and mentions the potential for kidnappings and hijackings.
The note also points out that future al-Qaida attacks could involve chemical or biological agents, as well as explosives -- though it gives no further details. The warning updates a similar note issued last fall.
