PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- A vice principal at Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick was arrested Friday on a charge of indecent solicitation of a minor, according to the attorney general's office.

Attorney general's spokesman Mike Healey said Timothy Sheldon was arrested Friday morning in Massachusetts on a warrant, and brought to Taunton District Court, where he waived extradition to Rhode Island.

He was being returned to Rhode Island for an arraignment in Kent County Superior Court, Healey said.

It's alleged that Sheldon solicited a person he believed was under 18 in an online chatroom.
